Goma Laca

Goma Laca is a polyphenolic thermoplastic resin obtained through the alcoholic extraction of the resinous parts of the Araucaria angustifolia, also known as the Parana Pine. Goma Laca has properties similar to the Indian Shellac, being a cost-effective substitute for this resin in many applications. Our product is presented in laminated form. The English market name for Goma Laca is Respin RLP.

Goma Laca is an ingredient in several products in a variety of industries, such as:

  • Flexographic inks
  • Fireworks
  • Varnish for the layer of silver nitrate on mirrors
  • Capping cement for light bulbs
  • Polish for wooden surfaces
